About the Role

As a member of the HOST Department, you will be responsible for creating and running in-game events for the community. This position is responsible for creating unique and creative events to promote player engagement and interest. Members of this department are public-facing staff that are expected to consistently engage with guests through in-game events.

This role will require additional time behind the scenes preparing events in advance, in many ways; including: building and creating event rooms and gameplay; creating internal processes for preparing and communicating logistics; and coordinating with different departments to create cohension across events.

The HOST Department, as a whole, is responsible for the implementation of Festival Events. Festival Events involve higher caliber preparation requirements in order to facilitate speciality designed in-game interactions and engagement based on the current festival theme. It is expected that all department members interact and engage with the preparation of these events.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

As a a member of the HOST Department, you will be expected to:

1. Build at least one guest room for an event per month.
2. Facilitate at least 4 live events per month.
3. Write clear information and concise rules for events.
4. Collaborate with other team members during and outside of events.
5. Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting events in-game and on the VMK Legacy Discord Server (when applicable).

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, the following qualifications have to be met.

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Must have a VMK Legacy account that is at least six months old.
3. Must be recently active in-game or in the community for at least four months. This means showing activity for at least a couple days each week for a period of at least four months.
4. Have a deep understanding and ability to follow the VMK Legacy Rules. Having an account with active points will disqualify you for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience building in VMK.
2. Evidence of organizing, facilitating, and runnning events.
3. Quick thinking and problem solving skills, aligned with interacting with others in a customer oriented field.
4. Clear communication and writing skills.
5. Possess a moderate level of technical ability to interact and use internal game and event interfaces.
