🎶 When the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake... spooks come out for a swinging wake! 🎶

It's HALLOWEEN TIME here at VMK Legacy! Whether you're a new, returning, or long-time player: the time to be hanging around the kingdom is now. Pumpkins, ghosts, witches... oh my! We hope that you've been enjoying the medieval magic of "Dungeons & Dragons" so far. But beware–because things are about to get spooky!

We have familiar halloween goodies returning this season with fun NEW releases as well, so grab 'em while you can! There are also fun activities and events in store for you as well (our annual Trick or Treating is back) this October. So what are you waiting for? Read on!

BUT WAIT... before you go, three VERY important things to look out for:
- CASTING CALL! Our application(s) remain open for interest & qualified individuals who want to contribute to VMK Legacy
- A very special CLOSED BETA TESTING opportunity: 👻
- An UPDATE to the Street Party Music Mixer

Pawfully Yours,

Perdita

The Halloween spirit has taken over the kingdom! Take a stroll down Main Street and feel the autumn chill, but watch out for vampires!

VMK Legacy is always striving to create a version of our game that aligns as closely as we can with the original game. While changes or upgrades are made that we feel align with the core original game, we strive to have areas of the game exist as close as possible to how it did when the original game was live.

Music Mixer will be updating the payout to the following: Playing a mix will earn 25 credits every 15 minutes.
Updating or creating a mix will earn 25 credits once per day.

The original intent within VMKL for the higher credit payout was to provide access to credits while minigames were being implemented. Now that the majority of minigames are available, we have decided to reduce the payout to the original game's amount to better connect to the Legacy of VMK.

We are excited to announce our closed beta testing of the Haunted Mansion Ghost Chasers minigame!
Players who are interested in being considered for the closed beta can sign up by visiting this link and submitting the form: https://www.vmklegacy.com/form/hm-ghosts-closed-beta or HERE

Not all players who submit a form may be picked for the beta testing session. The first rollout for access will begin on October 1st and continue as needed. The interest form will close on October 12th at game close, submissions may still be considered after the form closes.

We've updated our Hidden Mickey Quest (II) and have updated it to match the OG experience. You must now use your in-game camera to take a photo of any hidden mickeys you find around the kingdom! (Return to VMK Central and click the screen for a list of ones that you've found already).

Thank you for continuing to submit missing or inaccurate Knowledge Base (KB) entries. Our KB is an incredibly useful resource for all players. Please continue to submit any missing KB entries via our website report form OR (NEW) in-game when you press the HELP button to report it!

‼️ [NEW] "Quest Prizes" are now a visible category on the Knowledge Base. As quests start to roll out regularly: you'll be able to view them all on the KB!

A brand new festival means a new prize pool in the Sword in the Stone!
NOTE: "Maleficent's thorns - small" is a returning item!

Our October Festival events will be taking the place of standard HOST events this month. See you in November!

We will be holding a "Pumpkin Lighting Ceremony" on 9/28 @ 8PM ET. Join us at the VMK Esplanade to welcome in the Halloween season! Costumes (and/or Fall attire) highly encouraged!

NOTE: this is a community gathering with no explicit prize.

-

Join us all October long with the return of "Trick or Treating!" (don't worry... it's not-so-scary!) Check out the event listings (HERE) to read up on the rules so you know exactly how to participate!

Have you been reading along carefully!? To get into the Halloween spirit: react with a "🎃" to the newsletter announcement message on Discord by 10/1 for 2,000c!
It at least 60 people react with "🎃" then everyone will receive an additional 2,000c and 2x Bronze, Silver, & Gold Pirate Treasure Keys!
- Remember that these still expire in your inventory when they get distributed (there will be a @guest tag on Discord)

Looking for even MORE fun? Make sure you join us at our next Community Event! Staff members from our Guest Experience Team (GET) regularly schedule fun activities and get togethers both in game and on Discord.

A community event that we've been testing has been a new way to experience movie nights here at VMK Legacy! It was a lot of peoples' first time seeing The Black Cauldron... how awesome! We hope to see you at the next one!

As a general rule of thumb, our community events do not explicitly give out prizes or rewards.

Once a month, guests can attend a pin trading event at the top of the guest rooms list, where they can trade pins with staff!

Guests can collect up to six exclusive pins, or trade for pins they’re missing if one appears on a staff member’s lanyard.
Please note that staff-exclusive pins are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis! Additional details, such as eligible pin criteria and how event-exclusive pins will be distributed, can be found on the event page. Be sure to review all information before attending!
Happy trading!

Our recent BGR Season has closed! Stay tuned for the results!

In the meantime, if you'd like to read up on our newly REVAMPED Best Guest Room competition click HERE!
NOTE: At this time we are ONLY running Best GUEST Room. We hope to bring back the Best Game Room series soon.
We still encourage players to host player-made games in the meantime!
