VMK Legacy Contributor Program
Program Overview
The Legacy Contributor Program allows players to contribute in meaningful and tangible ways to the progression and production of new game content at VMKL. Players are able to apply to become a LC (Legacy Contributor) and create content that may be used publicly within the game or other official VMKL platforms. Legacy Contributors will remain players with no additional or special privileges, outside certain parameters specifically outlined on this page. The program allows players the flexibility to contribute new content to the game whenever they please without the demands that come from being a full-fledged volunteer staff member.
Program Criteria
Individuals who are interested in applying for the Legacy Contributor role must meet the following:
- Must be active within the community within the past two months. To be an active player, you must be showing activity a couple days each week over a two month period.
- Have the ability to take feedback and understand that submitted content may not be utilized in the way it was intended to be used upon submitting to the VMKL team.
- Understand that submitting content as a Legacy Contributor will give the VMK Legacy team the right to utilize, distribute, alter, or publish the content in any way they see fit.
The following is preferred for those interested in the Legacy Contributor Program, but not required:
- Ability to successfully design in a way that honors the OG VMK art style
- Preferred to see individuals who understand and use diametric perspective in designs
Program Benefits
Players who are accepted to become a Legacy Contributor will receive the following:
- The LC prefix added to their player account
- The Legacy Contributor Badge In-game (Sorcerer Mickey Hat)
- Legacy Contributor role in Discord, granting access to LC exclusive channels
- Potential for art to be used publicly in the following capacities: social media graphics, newsletter shoutouts or graphics, discord graphics, in the gallery or other billboards in the kingdom, or utilized as an item in-game.
- Receive one of any publicly released in-game item the LC player makes
