Introducing the Drawn to Life Events:
This month we are celebrating all things Art of Animation! In honor of this celebration, we will be running what we are calling “Drawn to Life Events.” With these events, we will give you a list of characters (themed to a specific movie) and you will choose ONE to draw and post to the specified channel in our Discord community titled #DrawntoLife Submissions! The first round of three Drawn to Life events will run from November 1st at 11am ET and all submissions must be posted by 11am ET on November 10th.
The characters you can choose from to draw for the first event are Mike Wazowski, Sulley, or Boo!
*You do not have to be a professional artist to participate! We want to see what you can do! We ask to please make an effort to showcase your art - a circle or stick person will not qualify for a participation prize!

A detective investigates the murder of a Hollywood star—an actress who just so happens to be his secret lover. Conflicts of interest aside, nothing would stop him from finding out who took his love away from him. He starts by looking into her current roles. He remembers her getting into makeup to play an out-of-this-world beauty on an alien planet. He visits the sets and searches for clues, all the while with a strange feeling that someone is watching him. On his hunt he finds his way to the set of a breezy rom-com flick. She played an earnest park ranger at National Cliffside Park. The detective notices blood on the set, as if a struggle occurred on the cliffside. He realizes that is where she fell. BUT, who could have done this?! He interrogates all the associated cast and crew. Nothing.
Some time passes and the detective notices his wife acting strangely at the funeral of the actress. It is then that he realizes his wife was aware of the affair, and sought passionate revenge. He mourns and cries for hours past the funeral proceedings. A steady rain begins to fall, and his tears are washed away toward the actress’s freshly-turned grave. The detective decides he will not wait any longer to be with his late lover. He peels open a single-serving peanut butter pack. After eating it, he knows he will stop breathing due to anaphylaxis. He lays down on the ground with his arm over the mound, and whispers that he will join her soon.
The detective awakens in a glaring white mist. It appears to go on for ages, with crystals and flowing water catching the eternal light. He hears a familiar voice of a lost love whisper, "Hey there." He turns and smiles.
Second Place: Marley, Alpha, Cosmee, Trey for their Mickey's Haunting Horror of Sleepy Hallow: The Graveyard, The Van Tassel Residence, Town Square, The Haunted Woods

Sleepy Hollow's newest resident has been found dead, murdered by the legendary Headless Horseman. The ghost of Mickey Bod Crane is at un-rest, now haunting the living in search for answers. He suspects someone in the town wanted him gone and the headless horseman is no real phantom. Prior to his demise, the headless horseman riddled him with 3 clues that'll solve the mystery of that terrorizing night.
The Graveyard room is where Mickeybods remains are discovered and the mystery to find his murderer begins. Take notes as Mickey’s spirit guides you through the final moments of his life, and bring his soul justice by solving the clues riddles by the Headless Horseman himself.
The party room is important because that's the night the poison was given to Mickey. Choose between Goofy (Bones) or Donald (Dad Tassel). They knew Mickey was going to be at the party because Mickey can't deny a delish meal. That's his guilty pleasure, food. He'd exchange ghostly stories with the town for yum dinners. People in town brought food over so either Goofy or Donald made their famous stew which Mickey was the only one to eat and got poisoned.
Town square is important because that's where everyone saw each other's business. Gossip! The folk saw the women swoon over Mickey when he moved to town. He even convinced the town to demolish the church to expand the school house. It was there (either Goofy or Donald) heard Mickey bod charm Minnie after Minnie shared she was the daughter of the richest farmer.
The Haunted Woods is where Mickey went home after the party. It was dark and midnight. He was confused and felt chills (really that was the poison kicking in). He heard the ghost of sleepy and was aware there may be an encounter with him. Sure enough, the Ghost appeared and chased after Mickey.
He chased Mickey through the woods. Mickey remembered (per the legend) if he crossed the bridge that led into Sleepy Hallow, the ghost would vanish. Mickey never made it to the bridge. The horseman (with fury and surrounded with pumpkins and vines) blocked mickey at the mickey. It was there Mickey passed out from the poison and was left for dead.

Deep in the forest, stands the remains of a Haunted Hotel. As you draw closer, the glow of fire brightens and the smell of smoke fills your nose. The hotel is set ablaze.. but by who? Making your way through the lobby, you follow the source of the flames towards an elevator. Curious to discover what has happened, you ride down the elevator shaft. The smell of smoke intensifies and the heat from the flames grow stronger. You have a sense that you’re getting closer to the truth. Suddenly the elevator comes to a halting stop. You’ve made it to the basement. Down the stairs you travel. You cannot believe your eyes. As the smoke clears you make out the remains of bodies, a science lab, and giant skeletons standing over a portal to the underworld. Was this a science experiment gone wrong? Or a ritual to Hades turned deadly?
