Hello beautiful guests! The PR team has been hard at work listening to your feedback during the past year and coming up with some new ideas to help festivals run smoothly. We wanted to make you all aware of a few changes as we start to settle into 2023:
- Festival Time Frames: As you all have noticed by now, festivals have different time frames (ex. some have been one month, one and a half months, and even 2 months). In order to have continuity and efficiency, all festivals will now start on the 1st of a month. This helps keep set deadlines for our staff for newsletters, HOST events, and DA created items.
We know that everyone has real life outside of VMKL and want to give you all and our staff members time between each festival to "catch your breath" if you will and not feel like you are missing out on special events and releases!
- SITS: Now you all may be wondering... if a festival only runs for a month and a half, what happens with SITS during the in-between or off season time of waiting for the new festival to begin? Not to fear! We have decided on a set of VMKL related non-festival items that will be available in the stone for any festival off season. There will still be a pin set, at least one furniture item, and at least one clothing item in this off season set of SITS.
There will be a few times this year where festivals won't end on the last day of the month. So, while waiting for the next festival to start, these off season items will be available to pull in the stone. This set of SITS will be in the stone during this calendar year (2023) during any festival off season. There will be multiple chances for you to earn these items through the year, even though they may be in the sword for a week or 2 at a time.
The first round of off season SITS will be in the stone starting 1/15/23 and will end on 2/1/23 when our new festival begins!
- New Newsletter Days: With festivals now starting on the first of the month, what does that mean for our Wednesday newsletters? A new newsletter will roll out with the new festival on the 1st, then after that, every other Monday a new newsletter will be released!
Now, an update from the Guest Experience Team!
A new policy surrounding player names is going into effect beginning February 1st! We know how important it is to want the perfect In Game Name only to have it taken by someone that hasn’t logged in recently and may not be actively involved in VMK Legacy. With this new policy, if another player requests your player name and you haven’t logged in within one year from that date, your name will revert back to a Guest name with numbers and the other player will assume the requested name. We strive to give all of our guests their desired names within our guidelines and hope that this update will allow everyone to express themselves adequately! If there is an In Game Name you have been eyeing that is already in use, you may request it beginning February 1st! Who knows, maybe that name will soon be yours!
