GET_Togethers are events that are hosted in our Discord server by the Guest Experience Team. These events may be anything from puzzles to word searches to scavenger hunts and will take place a minimum of twice per month. GET_Togethers are a way for us to come together and have some fun with the community, and that’s not all! You, the community, will have a part in deciding our activities! Either a Discord announcement or a newsletter will contain a link to a survey that every player can participate in to choose either the activity, the theme of the activity, or the materials for the upcoming month’s activity. Each player that completes the survey will receive 2000 credits, regardless of if they attend the events that month or not. Attending the event for the required timeframes as outlined at the time of the event will result in a special prize which will only be available for that month.

Take a triumphant trot to the race! The beloved Turkey Trot returns. This year, you'll really need your running shoes because you will be competing against other contestants! Your race will begin on Main Street and take you all the way to the end of the Central Plaza (seems short, but you'll be sure to be out of breath by the end).
Each section of the Turkey Trot will be play-til-you-win. This means you will be able to stay in each room and keep replaying the game until you win! Once you race your way onto Central Plaza you need to be the fastest racer in that room to earn yourself a Turkey Trot 2023 pin.

Every Monday the VMKL staff will be hosting Hide N Seek for 1 of 4 Haunted Mansion pins!
- You may only win (3) THREE times per calendar day (i.e: if a pop-up HnS is announced later in the day but you've already won 3 times then you may not participate)
- You must be standing NEAR THE STAFF MEMBER you've found, and you must include their name (w/ prefix!) in the WINNING PHRASE
- The winning phrase changes per HnS day, so pay close attention to the event notifications!
This Halloween season: join VMKL staff and the 999 happy haunts of the Haunted Mansion in throwing 'A Swinging Wake'. This festival event is unique because there is no specific way to participate! From the second you step foot in the Haunted Mansion, your fate is up to you. Whether that be chatting with friends or taking pictures together, trick or treating, or venturing off to regions beyond with Spectral Sights! Below is some more information about this supernatural gathering:
How To: TRICK OR TREAT
- You may only 'trick or treat' (5) FIVE times during this event. (it is okay to get back in line right after spinning if you can still participate more times!)
- If you spin 1 - 5 you'll win that respective Halloween Pinwheel Cookie
- If you spin a 6 you'll win a Halloween Pinwheel Cookie of your choice!
- Our secondary trick or treat station may be open depending on attendance and availability!
How To: see the SPECTRAL SIGHTS
- Each of the four doors take you to a different Spectral Sight (1 = Haunted Mansion from Disneyland, 2 = Haunted Mansion from Magic Kingdom, 3 = Phantom Manor from Disneyland Paris, 4 = Mystic Manor from Hong Kong Disneyland)
- You may participate in any of these games as many times as possible during the event duration
- We recommend getting a 'VMK Pass' so that you can freely return to the Haunted Mansion Ballroom for chatting or trick or treating! (note: you may be pulled away from the trick or treating line at any point if you're in queue for the rooms!)
- Collecting the FOUR Spectral Sights pins will earn you the final "logo pin"! The pins will be un-tradable throughout the duration of the event so that you may win another logo pin for every additional set that you complete. Be on the lookout for a submission form that you'll submit every time you have a complete set!

He has been so impressed by the speeds at which the guests have escaped the Stretching Room. So much so that he's extended an invitation to visit the Stretching Room one final time. Do you have what it takes?
Master Gracey's Twisted Hallway will consist of ALL (4) Stretching Rooms consecutively (back to back) with a final 'resting place' (the chair) at the very end for lucky escapees to take their photo evidence!
We completely understand that these escape challenges are NOT for everyone. Nor do we expect anyone to feel as though they MUST participate. Because of this: you may choose to not participate and you'll find that you may sell your voucher for 5,000c. Please, again, do not feel compelled to participate.
(NOTE: if you are planning on participating you MUST hold on to this ticket, if you sell it we will NOT be replacing it if you 'change your mind'.

Here at VMK Legacy, we continually strive to mix our own passions for VMK and work to honor the OG game by creating content that we think would fit within the scope of the game’s origins. We also try our best to recognize that we will continually work towards the heights of the OG game, but the reality of our situation is something we keep in mind while producing VMKL.
As VMK stood, it was a gathering place for thousands of players around the world, with paid full time staff to moderate, maintain, and update the game. We at VMK Legacy are a group of passionate volunteers serving a small community of passionate players. Our small team dedicates countless hours of free time to produce new content each month, creating new and exciting items, events, and connections with the community. While our team members are able to volunteer an uncountable amount of time, we understand that this is not applicable to individuals who may want to contribute to the progression of the game but do not have countless hours available. With a recognition of our differences from the original game, we realize we need to change some aspects from the original to better fit the needs of our community while still working to honor the roots of the game. We have spent months curating the perfect use of a staple VMK program that was well loved by players, and we hope our new use of the program will live up to the legacy of its predecessor.
To honor a unique aspect of the original game that will also help serve needs found within our team, we are launching a program akin to the Community Leader (CL) program. Our small community is full of many leaders bringing help and kindness to new and old players alike. Our wonderful playerbase makes the need for the CL program as it existed not necessary for our game. Instead, we want to flip the script of the program to better suit the needs of our community and honor the legacy of the Community Leaders initiative at the same time. We proudly introduce to our guests the Legacy Contributor (LC) Program!
This new program will allow players to contribute in more meaningful and tangible ways to the progression and production of new game content. The program allows players to have the flexibility of contributing on their own time without the additional responsibilities that come with being a staff member. All LC program participants will continue to be regular players and receive no special benefits or staff privileges through their participation in the program.
To start, our Legacy Contributor Program will be looking for guests with skills in Digital Art and Graphic Design. The program will allow for LC members to submit their art and designs to be considered for use in-game and in the community. We realize there are many players who have significant nostalgia related to the CL program, so we plan to expand the scope of our LC program to allow for players to contribute in ways that do not require digital art or graphic design skills in the future.
Individuals who are interested in applying for the Legacy Contributor role must meet the following criteria:
- Must be active within the community within the past two months. To be an active player, you must be showing activity a couple days each week over a two month period.
- Have the ability to take feedback and understand that submitted art may not be utilized in the way it was intended to be used upon submitting to the VMKL team.
- Understand that submitting art as a Legacy Contributor will give the VMK Legacy team the right to utilize, distribute, alter, or publish the art in any way they see fit.
The following criteria is preferred for those interested in the Legacy Contributor Program, but not required:
- Ability to successfully design in a way that honors the OG VMK art style
- Preferred to see individuals who understand and use isometric perspective in designs
Players who are accepted to become a Legacy Contributor will receive the following:
- The LC_ prefix added to their player account
- The Legacy Contributor Badge (Sorcerer Mickey Hat)
- Additional perks for the program will be announced after an initial assessment of player interest in participating in the program is accomplished. The announcement of additional perks will be shared before any players are formally accepted into the Legacy Contributor role.
