It seems like the stars–er... birthdays(?) have aligned! This month we are celebrating Disneyland's 70th, OG VMK's 20th, & VMK Legacy's 5th. Get ready because this festival is all about the Legacy (heh, see what we did there?) of Storytelling!

We wanted this festival to highlight the captivating history of Disney Park storytelling by deep-diving into some beloved attractions & how they came to be. Attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean which just so happens to be virtually launching on VMKL! You see how these different pieces of magic start to come together? Now thats A Legacy of Storytelling!

GET_Togethers are events that are hosted in our Discord server by the Guest Experience Team. These events may be anything from puzzles to word searches to scavenger hunts and will take place a minimum of twice per month. GET_Togethers are a way for us to come together and have some fun with the community, and that’s not all! You, the community, will have a part in deciding our activities! Either a Discord announcement or the last newsletter of the month will contain a link to a survey that every player can participate in to choose either the activity, the theme of the activity, or the materials for the upcoming month’s activity. Each player that completes the survey will receive 2000 credits, regardless of if they attend the event or not. Attending the event for the required timeframes as outlined at the time of the event will result in an exclusive prize which will only be available for that month.

During this special time of celebration, our events will provide many opportunities for engagement within the community! Keep an eye out on the calendar for extra special events with many differing prizes coming soon.
Due to our celebrations and additional prizes for special events we're doing something different this fesitval: there will be no regular HOST events!
Since there are no regular events, there will be no monthly HOST winning or consolation prize for July.

We are pleased to announce the Official launch/release of the Pirates of the Caribbean mini-game!
Please note:
- All win counters, bonuses, and unlocked levels have been reset to 0
- At least 4 players (2v2) are required to start a POTC game session (We previously allowed 1v1 for testing purposes)
The official launch of POTC means that the Bronze, Silver, & Gold chests have been updated with a brand new prize pool! We hope you enjoy the new loot and wish you luck! (In case you were wondering, YES, we do have plans to implement the SITS UI to the Treasure Chests. In the meantime, please continue to redeem your keys by equipping them onto your lanyard.)
A big thank you to everyone who came out to test out the game to work out any bugs. We know that this has been a long time coming and this is a very exciting milestone for VMK Legacy! Thank you for joining us on this new adventure!

Last newsletter we got close to that challenge goal of 60 reacts (and by close I mean not really! but good try!) Lets try to get 50 reacts on the bulletin for an automatic extra 1000c for everyone who reacts with that emoji!
The VMK Legacy Staff Team is looking for qualified applicants to join our team! At this time, we are searching for applicants for the positions in bold+underlined, however below is a description of all positions on the VMK Legacy staff team.
🖌️ Digital Artist – responsible for creating new in-game content including clothing, furniture, and pins
🎢 HOST – responsible for in-game events, including room creation and event supervision
💻 Game or Web Development – responsible for coding new in-game features and website content
📝 Public Relations – responsible for social media and writing publications used to promote the game
📰 Graphic Design – responsible for graphical content related to branding of the game (note: this role is under "PR" however if any interested applicants are specifically skilled in graphic design we would love for you to still apply!)
✨ Guest Experience Team – responsible for moderation of the game and Discord
The application will begin with general questions and then redirect you to questions for the specific department you are applying for.

VMK Legacy introduced 'The Legacy Contributor' program in efforts to give talented guests a way to contribute to the magic! We realize there are many players who have significant nostalgia related to the CL program, so we plan to expand the scope of our LC program to allow for players to contribute in ways that do not require digital art or graphic design skills in the future. At this time our program is not accepting applications as the program is being reimagined!
