GET_Togethers are events that are hosted in our Discord server by the Guest Experience Team. These events may be anything from puzzles to word searches to scavenger hunts and will take place a minimum of twice per month. GET_Togethers are a way for us to come together and have some fun with the community, and thatâs not all! You, the community, will have a part in deciding our activities! Either a Discord announcement or the last newsletter of the month will contain a link to a survey that every player can participate in to choose either the activity, the theme of the activity, or the materials for the upcoming monthâs activity. Each player that completes the survey will receive 2000 credits, regardless of if they attend the event or not. Attending the event for the required timeframes as outlined at the time of the event will result in an exclusive prize which will only be available for that month.
The voting form for Marchâs GET_Together events is now open! Votes must be submitted by Friday, March 3rd after closing.

Weâre cooking up a special room building event for the festival which will span the majority of the month of March! This will be a fast-paced bracket style event, and all participants MUST complete the below form to be considered. Please be honest with your answers so that our brackets are completed fairly. Your direct competition will not be known to you until the building window has closed. There will be exclusive prizes for all forms of participation, including building AND voting. Hereâs a sneak peek at the building event timeline:

March 4th - March 17th: Building theme is announced and building window
March 18th - March 23rd: Voting window(s)

With all that said, there will be no Best Guest Room or Best Game room competition in the month of March.

Welcome to âThe Fantasyland Challengeâ! Weâre paying homage to the original âFantasyland Questâ experience that guests could embark on in the parks. Do you know Fantasyland like the back of your hand? Letâs find out! Our Fantasyland challenge will be open for participation TWICE this Festival which means two opportunities to snag our fantasy themed prizes (same prize pool for both challenges!).
Part 1: This challenge will focus on our very own virtual Fantasyland here on VMK! It will open on February 27th 9AM EST and close along with the game on March 10th 1AM EST (Technically the 11th!)
Part 2: This challenge will focus on the Fantasylands in the Parks around the world! It will open on March 13th 9AM EST and close along with the game on March 24th 1AM EST (Technically the 25th!)
Make sure you answer carefully as resubmissions (and/or multiple submissions) will not be accepted. We have a channel created for requesting assistance (via DM!) amongst your friends, help each other out!

BGR Timeframe Updates
We have some big news to share regarding timeframes for our Best Guest Room and Best Game Room events. Beginning in April 2023, BGR competitions will be held quarterly. The timeline is as follows:
January 1st - Last day of March *Winter Session*
April 1st - Last day of June *Spring Session*
July 1st - Last day of September *Summer Session*
October 1st -Last day of December *Fall Session*
By implementing this change, we are hoping that builders will have ample time to showcase their creativity, and that in turn will give VMKL staff plenty of entries to vote on. There will not be a theme provided for BGR as it will stretch throughout one or more festivals, but we always encourage you all to build in theme to whatever is occurring in the game.
BGR contestants cannot win consecutive quarters for the same competition and will not be considered for participation for consecutive quarters, meaning: if you win Best Guest Room in one quarter, you cannot participate in the following quarterâs Best Guest Room competition. You may still participate in Best Game Room.
Separate building competitions such as a Building Blitz or festival related building event may still occur during these time periods and will be announced via Newsletter and Discord. Going forward, room building competitions will be considered an event that is being held for longer than a week, whereas a Building Blitz will be a shorter, more sporadic competition that will take place with less frequency.
We hope that with these changes, we will be able to see beautifully executed designs and ideas without the stress of a short timeline. We canât wait to see what you create!
